Lost in a Book
I like to read at night. After the chaos of the day cedes and the kids, dogs and husband are down for the count. The evening is when I enjoy solitude and a story. Sometimes the stories are about business in an effort to stay relevant in an ever-changing work environment. Sometimes the stories are about self-help in an attempt to achieve balance, find my center or sooth an anxious mind. Other times the stories are pure entertainment: a glimpse of a glamourous life, a trip to lands faraway or a laugh-out-loud (but not too loud because everyone is sleeping). I'm not a reader, I read. Of course you can come to the bookstore to seek out specific titles, authors and genres or you can come to the bookstore to get lost. Lost in the pretty covers, catchy titles and the shear volume of stories that surround you.
